A small collection of autograph letters, invitations, notes, and printed announcements sent to Jonathan Russell while he was charge d'affaires in Paris (1810) and London (1811), a negotiator for the peace treaty with Great Britain following the War of 1812, and minister to Sweden and Norway (1814-18). Among the correspondents which include royalty, dignitaries, and foreign ministers from other countries are Alexandre Kourakin and Navarro d'Andrade.
